Philip Connelly
President
Appointed in February 2002, is a 1982 graduate of Lipscomb College (now Lipscomb University) with a B.S. in Management and Economics. He joined Vietti in July 2001.

After progressing in management with consumer goods giants Whitehall/Robins (Advil, Primatene), Borden, and Sara Lee in Atlanta and Chicago, he assumed the position in 1994 of Retail Group VP for Atlanta-based Edwards Fine Foods, a $200 million frozen desserts manufacturer.

In 1999, he relocated to Nashville and established the Connelly Group providing senior-level strategic planning and management for food manufacturers in the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Phil, his wife Debra and their two daughters continue to reside in Nashville.


Mark Johnson
Chief Financial Officer
Is a CPA and native of Middle Tennessee, graduating from Middle Tennessee State University in 1981 with a BA in Business Administration. He joined Vietti in April 2002.

In 1987 Mark left public accounting and accepted a position with COI Food Service, a $400 million wholly owned subsidiary of Shoney's Inc, as the senior accountant.

From 1992-2002 Mark was controller maintaining responsibility for all financial activities of COI.

Mark, his wife Kimberly, and their three children reside in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.


Dee Folmar
Director of Technical Services
Responsible for Quality Control and Research and Development. A Tennessee native, Dee has a B.S. in Food Technology and Science from the University of Tennessee and 16 years R&D experience in food industry with H.J. Heinz, the Martha White division of Pillsbury and Dean Foods. She joined Vietti in November 2001.

Prior to joining Vietti, she worked as a consultant developing new products, nutritional panels and specification systems, optimizing existing formulas and generating product labels compliant with government regulations for a variety of companies across the Southeast.

Dee currently resides in Franklin with her husband, Phil, and two sons.


Frank Baltz
Director of Operations
A Nashville native who attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. He joined Vietti in November 1999.

A meat industry veteran for over thirty years, Frank successfully implemented for Vietti a significant labor reduction initiative while also generating timely and unexpected increases in production yields.

He and his wife, Mary, live in Mount Juliet, Tennessee.


Voyne Stepp
National Sales Manager
A South Carolina native and 1978 graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. He joined Vietti in September 2001.

Voyne spent thirteen years with the OTC drug division of American Home Products, Whitehall/Robins (Advil) with various field and key account management responsibilities and with a focus on Florida-based food and drug chains such as Eckerd, Winn-Dixie and Alberstons.

He followed with twelve years as a Key Account Business Manager for Acosta Sales & Marketing, a national broker of consumer packaged goods.

Voyne resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, Sue, and their daughter, Chandler.


Trent Baker, C.P.M.
Purchasing Manager
He received certification from the Institute of Supply Management in 1995 and studied Advanced Purchasing at Weber State University. He joined Vietti in August 2003.

Trent is the former President of the Utah Chapter of the National Association of Purchasing Management and brings seventeen years of raw material procurement experience most recently at Reser's Fine Foods.

Trent, his wife, Kathy, and their five children recently relocated from Salt Lake City to the Nashville area.
